Derek Peters is our current Drum Major at Kelly. He is a Senior at J. J. Kelly this year and upon graduation plans to go to Morehead State University to major in Music. This is Derek's third term as Drum Major. Derek has consistently scored well in every competition, placing first or second in each performance. Twice, Derek earned the highest score of the day in the Drum Major caption. He is a solid musician and has participated in All County Band, All District Band, and several Honors Clinics. We are excited about Derek's potential for this coming 1998 season. Our music from the musical "Les Miserables" is challenging and affords Derek many opportunities to display his advanced skill.
