The 1998 J.J. Kelly Color Guard is composed of 12 girls from grades 8-11. The guard had great success last season, consistently scoring well and placing in the first or second place slot at every competition. The girls put in many extra hours on their own in sectional rehearsals led by their instructor Jennifer. The girls display confidence and high levels of showmanship. They work hard to interpret the music and help "sell" the show the the audience through color, dance, and flag choreography. This year the girls will portray peasants from the French Revolution. They will be dressed in peasant costumes and use French flags and other props.
The guard also practiced throughout the year and performed as a Winterguard at several basketball games. They are currently preparing to go to guard camp where they will attend seminars, learn new routines and techniques, and perform in classes. YOU GO GIRLS!
